The Position

St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a contemporary private hospital providing a comprehensive range of acute health care services for the regional community. The hospital recently underwent a significant redevelopment in 2015 that added a new three-storey wing featuring new operating theatres, large recovery area, new sterilising department, and refurbishment of all rooms and public areas.

We are currently looking for a Pastoral Trainee to working in Pastoral Services in Hospitals.  This will involve the participation and compliance with the requirements of the Pastoral Internship program and provide pastoral care to patients, their families under the supervision of Pastoral Coordinator/Manager and mentor.
 

The successful candidate will have:

• Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission & Values of St John of God Health Care.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the provision of pastoral support within a Catholic Health care environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to undertaking SJGHC Pastoral Internship program.
