Spiritual Care Management Network

DATE: Bi-monthly. The first session in 2023 will be on April 26th.
TIME: 11:00am-12:30pm
LOCATION: Online via Zoom

The Spiritual Care Management Network (SCMN) consists of directors, managers and coordinators of spiritual care in health services and is facilitated by Spiritual Health Association staff.

The network provides a forum for discussion about current and hot issues. It enables important discussions between management from different states working under various settings and keeps SHA informed of the crucial issues for the sector which we recognise and pursue at a strategic way as the peak body for spiritual care in healthcare.

We meet bi-monthly (or 5 times throughout the year) to discuss current strategic and operational issues and opportunities for spiritual care with a potential leadership workshop as a 6th session later in the year.

The first meeting for 2023 will be on April 26 at 11am AEDT. The theme for this meeting is Presence, Promotion and Priorities; Building a positive profile for Spiritual Care in the Health service.

Other topics for 2023 will include:

  • Conference Debrief and National Model for Spiritual Care
  • Funding and Business cases
  • Research informing practice.
  • Managers Tool Kit

We will incorporate topics based on survey responses from last year to tailor to the needs of our Managers network with a view to engaging more Health service managers.

Sharing the experiences, innovation and advocacy journey with each other brings knowledge, encouragement and ongoing support for current and emerging leaders.
