Spiritual Health Lived Experience Network

Would you like to support the expansion of spirituality, spiritual care and person-centred care in the mental health system?

The national Spiritual Health Lived Experience Network brings together a community of people who identify as having lived or living experience as a consumer or carer, to collaborate with SHLEAC and SHA in our advocacy work.

It offers opportunities to be involved in key events, forums, consultancy and sharing stories in relation to spirituality and mental health.

The Spiritual Health Lived Experience Network is:

  • a community of people with mental health lived experience who value the role their spirituality plays in their ongoing health & wellbeing
  • a community of people who wish to see spirituality and spiritual care embedded into mental health services
  • a community of people who care deeply about people

Currently, involvement in the Spiritual Health Lived Experience Network is on a voluntary basis, however any opportunities for future paid consultation will be shared via the network.

The reasons people have chosen to register to support the work of Spiritual Health Association include poignant & powerful sentiments such as:
  • My spirituality informs my world view
  • My spirituality gives me comfort when all seems lost
  • My spirituality has stopped me killing myself
  • Spirituality affirms a force of love in the world
