Cuong joined Spiritual Health Association as Research and Policy Leader in September 2020. Cuong has extensive experience in both academic research, policy and advocacy in public health and community development. He has worked in Vietnam for UN agencies, international organisations and academic institutions focusing on health policy and advocacy on HIV/AIDS prevention and control for more than a decade.
In Australia, Cuong has worked as a researcher and project manager for various health and feminist organisations to promote health equity and social justice. He holds a Master of Human Sexuality Studies and PhD in Community Health. Cuong lives with his wife Hai, a university professional and children Ben and Louis in Northern Melbourne.
