Working closely with the Spiritual Health Lived Experience Advisory Committee (SHLEAC) continues to be a rewarding collaboration for all involved. Through monthly committee meetings, Spiritual Health Association (SHA) has access to highly valued insights and lived wisdom into where systematic improvement could occur.
The growth in confidence and authority of all members in advocating for the recognition of spiritual health in mental health care - and more broadly - has been witnessed. Each committee member has become an inspiring ambassador for the work of SHA, developing a spiritual literacy that enables them to represent the spiritual domain in their various and broad advocacy work in the community, on government working groups, consultations and beyond.
